Don't you hate it when motorcyclists seem to have a big fat spare tire proceeding them on the bike? Well, I do, sigh, will have to work on it.
Most of the week weighed in at around 206.0 pounds, blood pressure around 125/84, heart rate around 44 bpm. Not enough exercising and not working on healthier life style except in my medications, fruit and vegetable smoothies and getting sleep and riding my motorcycle for my mind.
Monday I weigh 203.5 pounds, blood pressure is 124/75, and my heart rate is 45 bpm, and I have written up the weekend and by 6:15 am have forgotten it is Monday and that I need to get ready for the new week and new month tomorrow. No wonder my blood pressure is so good, thank you Lord.
Determined that I need to get to 180 pounds and lose the gut fat - spare tire and love handles - and have room for concealing weapons and being dangerous but meek, I eat breakfast, do three solid chin ups, knock out fifty reps of the basice three exercises and go out for my heart rate jog. I burn 517 calories, 40% of them fat, average heart rate is 123 bpm, in Zone 51 minutes 2 seconds, exercised 53 minutes 2 seconds, found two pennies, waved to one 'fatter than I' heart walker - but folks he was out there and that is half the battle. Now to the work day. My wife brings me pulped fruit iced and juiced, cool and refreshing and we discuss my pictures on the bike and how fat I look... she still loves me, must be for my mind. I go do two and a half more chin ups.

Motivation! How does that work?
Sunday weight 207.5 pounds, bicycle to church and back, that is different.
Monday weight 207.5 pounds, blood pressure 115/92, heart rate 32 bpm. Do 25 reps of the basic three, a couple of chin ups and hangs, go jog the shortest course 326 calories burnt, 50% of them Fat, Hr 111, Zone 25 minutes 3 seconds, Exercise 38 minutes 25 seconds, walk to the dock.
Tuesday son is home, weight 206.0 pounds, blood pressure 133/83, heart rate 41 bpm. Do 2 Chin ups, 30 reps of the basic three, two more chin ups. Go jog with son. 410 calories burnt, 30% Fat, Hr 131 bpm, Zone 21 minutes 27 seconds, Exercised 34 minutes 14 seconds, only because he was doing it so easily and I was so old and trying to prove I could keep up. Barely, just barely.

Seattle has the Race for the Cure, and I wonder if a friend is running in it, and if she ran in last week's Sound to Narrows - she always mentioned maybe next year but it didn't happen while I was there. I do feel very fat and have to get dressed for the day, eat my breakfast gruel and out the door, enough typing.

Tuesday was a bit light...
Garbage day and I weighed 206.0 pounds, blood pressure was 152/86 and my heart rate was 41 bpm. I talked myself into waiting until evening for my basic fifty reps and the bar - and only spent time eating some great dinner and sitting like a sack of slump gazing at the television and I couldn't tell you what was on - but it wasn't Oprah, who was covering the joys of polygamy with a blonde babe, twenty-two children for the husband and his three sister-wives. He wins!
I did jog for my heart finally, too much computer time, 561 calories, 50% fat, Heart rate 114 bpm, Zoned for 50 minutes 40 seconds, Exercised 1 hour 1 minute 4 seconds. Very dull, but good to get out and do it, found a penny. I want to blame my thyroid medicine on my weight and sluggishness. Any excuse but me. The red headed bus driver with the chinese letter tattoo up her neck didn't get to take me to the dock, I walked, my foot still feels funny, the limp is light but the day was spent on my feet except for a long list of ILLs entered.
The rides on the motorcycle to and from work are great, the weather is cool but dry and I seem to get more mileage, one hundred and sixty miles without going to reserve. Maybe my riding is better, maybe I just stuffed fuel in there last time, still I am happy.

Yesterday, I wasn't hard enough...
Monday and I weighed 207.5 pounds (uhg!) blood pressure was 134/68 and my heart rate was 37 bpm. I went to jog joyfully, 528 calories burned, 5o% of them Fat, average heart rate 116 bpm, in Zone 48 minutes 47 seconds, Exercised 55 minutes 4 seconds. I did my fifty reps of the basic three, went to strain on chin ups, pull ups and mix ups - but straining was all I achieved. I did walk to the dock, still a nice exercise for my mind. In the evening I used the ten pound dumb bells to work a little more while I mostly acted like a fat slug in the recliner. Half a glass of wine and good night!
During the jog I scared a rabbit out, and couldn't catch him I am so old, and I did find a penny. So all is not lost, yet.

Preaching Sermons, not listening to self...
Friday the 13th, weight 204.5 pounds, blood pressure 127/86, heart rate 43 bpm.
Saturday, weight 205.0 pounds, blood pressure 131/88, heart rate 41 bpm.
Sunday, weight 207.0 pounds, blood pressure 154/89, heart rate 43 bpm.
Friday evening I watched a neighbor put four spoons of sugar in his coffee with a drop of milk. It bothered me, I had been like that and I started my sermon on cutting sugar and other refined carbohydrates. Others pitched in, talking about their medical problems some of which could have been addressed by better living and studying food and nurishment - which might not be the same thing. I got to the Biblical points of "Love thy neighbor as thy Self" and concentrate on the love of self (which many people ignore) and remembering that the body is a temple for the Lord, and one should not profane the temple. I was on a roll, but two days later I haven't done any exercising for my health and my weight is back up. Time to get serious about Self and knock off those pounds and get stronger and healthier. I was riding motorcycles on Saturday instead of the Annual Sound to Narrows Road Race.

Going to the YMCA with my wife, going to second welcome of 4th Brigade 2nd Inf Division at 2:30 local, was at this mornings at 12:30 am - 240 returned after fourteen months. I was with the PGRs, and wasn't chilled nor wet until I got home and tried to sleep. Good stuff is really great!

Sweating profusly...
Today I weigh 203.5 pounds - no carbs yesterday to count - blood pressure is 155/84 or 150/90 and heart rate of 63 or 30 bpm. I start to distrust digital measuring machines, so I wake my wife and go gently jogging. 555 calories burnt, 55% of them FAT, average heart rate 109 bpm, Zone 33 minutes 19 seconds, Exercise 1 hour 7 minutes 50 seconds, I rescued eight pennies, talked to one barking dog and was greated by one jogger and one walker. Cool gray morning, 50 degrees outside.
